Our Story

Originally, HamWears began business as The Suspender Man in 2004. Eighteen years later the business is still serving the Amateur Radio Community. In 2017, The Suspender Man diversified its product line, expanded its capabilities and became HamWears. Basically, the same product lines supported by The Suspender Man remained, but now with additions of the latest products and the expansion of cap and garment personalization techniques.

HamWears is a mom and pop operation owned by Carol and managed by Bob (W4FTD). We participate exclusively in Hamfest and major Ham related events throughout Texas, Eastern and the Southeastern United States. Our business is known for its large variety of quality caps, hobby vest, suspenders and shoulder bags. Most of our items can be personalized with the amateur radio call sign and your name using the latest embellishing techniques. At Hamfests, the customized and personalized tasks are accomplished on site and made available for pick-up during the show.

We process quantity orders and accomplish the work at our home location in Texas. Custom items such as polo skirts, tee shirts, safety vest, hobby vest, caps, and club patches are popular items for Radio Clubs and other related organizations and businesses.
